Paper Impregnation

Impregnation Plant
Today, furniture and interior materials consist of MDF and particle board covered with impregnated paper. Wood-based panel (MDF, particle board, etc.) manufacturers with high production capacities are integrating their own impregnation facilities into their businesses. The aim is to reduce costs by meeting their own impregnated paper needs and to produce independently from external suppliers.
Çamsan Entegre has two coating presses and obtains all of its impregnated paper needs from its impregnation facility. The impregnation process for the overlay (protective paper), balance paper, and decorative paper required for the parquet laminate produced in the parquet plant is also carried out in Çamsan Entegre's facilities.
Decorative, protective, and balancing papers, with unit weights varying between 70-150 gr/m2, are supplied as raw paper from abroad and loaded onto twin drums at the process inlet. The facility has a total of nine drying ovens powered by LNG. The paper, impregnated in baths created with melamine, formaldehyde, and urea formaldehyde and chemical additives, passes through the drying ovens and is packaged in the desired sizes at the packaging station.
The gloss level is determined by the surface of the press plate. The most commonly used plates achieve a gloss level of 60-65% with HS 18.
Impregnated papers are frequently used in short cycle presses. Impregnated papers harden under heat and pressure.
Storage Time: Unopened packages can be stored for 3 months in their original condition at 20°C and 40-50% humidity.
Coating Units
Çamsan Entegre is the first producer of wood-based medium-density fiberboard (MDF) in Türkiye and, with its production capacity, is a leading company in Europe and the Middle East in terms of both quality and capacity. To expand its product range, it commissioned its first veneer facility in 1993.
