Technical Specifications

Appearance (TS 1770)

  • Coated products made from MDFLam and SUNTALam should be free of protrusions and depressions.
  • There should be no manufacturing or cutting errors at the edges and corners.

Deviation from Shape and Squareness (TS 1770)

  • MDF and chipboard should be in the shape of a rectangular prism, with their corners intersecting at right angles.
  • For an edge length of 1000 mm, the deviation from the miter edge should not exceed 2 mm.
  • When the width and length exceed 1000 mm, the deviation must remain within the width and length tolerance limits.

Dimensions and Tolerances (TS 1770)

The length and width of MDFLam and SUNTALam products are unrestricted, provided they conform to the module dimensions in TS 2014 and TS 2018. The thickness should not be less than 1.5 mm for wood fiber products and 6 mm for particle board products.

The physical and mechanical properties of products manufactured from MDFLam and SUNTALam must conform to the values given in the table.

Marking (TS 1770)

The company's registered trademark or abbreviated name, the TS 1770 mark (TM), the name and type of the plate, and the nominal dimensions of the plate (thickness, length, width) in mm are written on the packaging; in packaged sales, in addition to these, the color and pattern of the plate, whether one or two sides are coated, its type, and the number of plates in the package are also written on the packaging.

Packaging (TS 1770)

When packaging MDFLam and SUNTALam panels, their edges should be strapped lengthwise and widthwise with banding to prevent them from falling apart, and corner protectors should be placed where these bands meet to prevent damage to the corners.
